The Canterbury Nightmares & more

Editing, Writing, and busy as hell

This year has been sort of up and down, but I’m getting words back out there, and I am going to count that as a positive. The anthology I’m editing (and have been since 2020) THE CANTERBURY NIGHTMARES will be up for pre-order in the next few days. It features work by MICHAEL BOATMAN * S.A. COSBY * AI JIANG * RIC LAROCCA * J.A. W. McCARTHY * SCOTT J. MOSES * STEPHEN MARK RAINEY * JOHN B. ROSENMAN * ANNA TAMBOUR * TERENCE TAYLOR * STEVE RASNIC TEM. The cover artist is Steve Smith, who is also responsible for a lot of the tattoos adorning the editor’s body, and one of my oldest friends.

I have a story, “secretshit.txt,” just out in the anthology OBSOLESCENCE from Short Wave Publishing. This is an absolutely beautiful book, filled with talented authors, and with a foreword by Naomi Grossman from American Horror story - edited by Alan Lastufka and Kristina Horner. I have another story out in a not-yet-fully announced anthology, and a nearly completed novella that is spoken for (as long as the editor doesn’t hate it). Another novella, “Closing Time at the Sunny-Side-Up” is under serious consideration at yet another publisher, and my novel “Tattered Remnants” is near completion.

I also have book two of THE DECHANCE CHRONICLES due soom from Book.io in a collectible NFT edition. The first book in the series, HEART OF A DRAGON is available in this format on the secondary market - VINTAGE SOUL will be minted soon. Book.io is going to change the way peoople buy and sell eBooks and audiobooks… you may have heard it here first.
